This Privacy Policy explains how Look 4 Cover Ltd (trading as ChildShield.co.uk, "we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects personal information about you when you visit www.childshield.co.uk or apply for a ChildShield plan provided by MetLife Europe d.a.c.

Information we collect
- Identity and contact details: name, email, phone, postal address.
- Application data: youngest child's date of birth, chosen plan, preferred payment date.
- Payment details: bank account holder name, sort code and account number for the Direct Debit instruction.
- Consents and marketing preferences.
- Technical data: IP address, browser, device, pages visited (via cookies and server logs).
How we use your information
- To arrange, set up and administer your ChildShield insurance with MetLife.
- To set up and manage your Direct Debit instruction.
- To contact you about your application or policy.

Lawful bases
We rely on (a) performance of a contract to arrange your insurance, (b) legal obligation for regulatory and tax requirements, (c) legitimate interests for fraud prevention and service improvement, and (d) your consent for marketing.

- MetLife Europe d.a.c. — the insurer that issues and administers your policy.
- Payment processors and the bank/BACS scheme to operate the Direct Debit.

- Professional advisors (auditors, lawyers, accountants).
How long we keep your data
We retain personal data for as long as you hold a policy and for a minimum of 7 years afterwards to meet our regulatory and legal obligations. Marketing data is held until you withdraw consent.

Where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.
Your rights
