About us
ChildShield.co.uk is a trading style of Look 4 Cover Ltd, an insurance intermediary authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 933245). You can verify our registration at register.fca.org.uk.
Our service
We arrange and set up the ChildShield child protection plan, which is underwritten and provided by MetLife Europe d.a.c. We act on a non-advised basis — we provide information so you can make your own decision. Nothing on this site or in any communication from us constitutes financial or insurance advice.
Remuneration
We are paid a commission by MetLife when you take out a ChildShield plan. We do not charge you any additional fee. Full details are available on request.
Your duty
You must take reasonable care to provide information that is true, accurate and complete. If you do not, your policy may be cancelled, a claim may be reduced or declined, or cover may be void.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with our service, please contact us at theteam@childshield.co.uk or call 0330 123 5998. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may be able to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service (financial-ombudsman.org.uk, 0800 023 4567). You are also covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme — see fscs.org.uk.
